Loading... Please wait...Each batch of Yiayia Maria's baklava is made by hand. We meticulously hand place 30 layers of fillo dough from bottom to top as we spread the nut mixture between layers of filo through out the process. Finally we hand score each piece to allow our honey mixture to soak through all the layers. The final step is to place a clove in each piece of baklava which is our family signature. Honey, walnuts, organic filo (organic wheat flour, filtered water, organic wheat starch, organic tapioca starch, organic expeller pressed soy oil, salt, organic malt extract, non-GMO soy lecithin, tri-calcium phosphate), butter, sugar, almonds, lemon juice, egg,* cinnamon, allspice, cloves, vanilla extract.
